College Recruiting Email Template

Below is a sample of what we used to sent out via email to coaches and recruiters. In addition to sending this email, we also used the same text to send via Twitter DMs assuming that the coach or recruiter’s DMs are open. You can determine if their DMs are open by the envelope icon in their profile. In some cases you don’t need to follow them to send a message. We used that feature successfuly as well.

I have been following the COLLEGE program for a while and am impressed with the spirit of excellence I see. I wanted to connect with you because I think I would be an excellent addition to the team.

My name is STUDENT NAME, a 2023 graduate at HIGH SCHOOL in LOCATION. My current GPA is 3.90. I scored an 1190 on my SAT in May.

I am currently 6’6” and 280 lbs and play both sides of the ball as an Offensive Tackle and Defensive Tackle. For my junior season, I was awarded first team honors for both All-State and All-Region for offensive lineman and named to the All-North Central Thumb League. Additionally, I was awarded honorable mention by the Michigan AP Sports Writers association. The coaching staff at Sacred Heart awarded me the Coach Roberts award which is given to the team member that exemplifies excellence in team leadership.

As I head to my senior season I intend to work on my footwork and upper body strength. I currently play varsity basketball and varsity baseball which will help my athleticism and goals. I attended multiple camps this summer, including the Top 200 camp in Farmington Hills on May 22nd, Grand Valley State on July 14th and Alma College, July 24th. I just received an offer from Alma College but I am keeping my options open for other opportunities that will present themselves.
